Scorpio: Stop Assuming That Protecting Your Heart Requires Building Walls Around It
Scorpio has probably been described as mysterious so many times that if someone handed them a pound for every occasion, they could quietly buy a small island somewhere, never tell anyone where it was, and accidentally reinforce the stereotype all over again. The truth, however, is far less dramatic than people imagine. Scorpio is not usually trying to be mysterious for the sake of appearing interesting. They simply understand how much trust is worth, and because they know how deeply betrayal can change a person, they rarely hand over their heart without paying close attention to who is receiving it.
That instinct has protected Scorpio many times throughout life, but it can also become one of the biggest ways they unknowingly sabotage happiness. When someone genuinely kind enters their life, Scorpio may begin looking for evidence that something is wrong before allowing themselves to fully enjoy what is right. They may question sincerity, overanalyse small changes in behaviour, or quietly prepare for abandonment before the relationship has had the opportunity to become something lasting.
From Scorpio’s perspective this feels sensible. From the outside it often looks like emotional distance.
