Natal Moon Phase vs Progressed Moon Phase

There is also an advanced technique called the secondary progressed lunation cycle.

In secondary progressions, astrologers symbolically treat one day after birth as representing one year of life. The progressed Sun and progressed Moon gradually form their own cycle, which lasts roughly 29 years and describes longer developmental chapters.

Your natal phase remains permanent, but your progressed phase changes. Someone may be born under a Full Moon phase yet enter a progressed Balsamic chapter later in life, creating a period when closure, release, retreat, and preparation become far more important than visibility or outward expansion.

A progressed New Moon can coincide with the beginning of a major long-term cycle.
