Capricorn Weekly Horoscope August 3–9, 2026

Capricorn, I was cleaning out a drawer the other day and found three instruction manuals for appliances I no longer own, an expired warranty card, several mystery keys and a charger that has survived at least two generations of phones despite apparently fitting nothing currently manufactured by humanity, and naturally I kept the charger because this is what adulthood does to us: we become convinced that five minutes after throwing away an entirely useless object, the universe will suddenly reveal that it was the only thing standing between us and catastrophe. Your astrology this week has me thinking about that habit because August 3–9 is unusually concerned with what you hold onto for security, what you share with other people, which obligations still make sense, how much control actually protects you and how much simply creates another thing to manage, while Jupiter and the Sun move through your eighth house, Mercury prepares to join them, Venus enters the most visible part of your chart, Mars and Uranus continue disrupting old working patterns, and your ruler Saturn remains retrograde in Aries asking increasingly serious questions about the foundations underneath everything you have built.

The eighth house is where much of the week’s deeper story lives because Jupiter and the Sun are travelling through Leo here, bringing attention to shared finances, debt, taxes, mortgages, loans, investments, inheritances, insurance, business funding, intimacy, trust and the complicated web of resources and responsibilities that exists between you and other people. Capricorn generally prefers knowing exactly where things stand, particularly financially, but the eighth house is precisely where life reminds us that complete independence is largely fictional because sooner or later everybody shares something, borrows something, owes something, invests with someone, depends on somebody or discovers that the financial decisions of another person can affect their own life.
