Sagittarius Weekly Horoscope August 10–16, 2026
Theme of the Week: The life you want may require you to leave behind an idea, plan, or comfortable limitation that once made perfect sense.

Sagittarius, the defining astrology of this week is the New Moon Total Solar Eclipse in Leo on Wednesday, August 12, which activates your ninth house of travel, higher education, publishing, teaching, law, beliefs, international connections, and every experience that makes your world larger than it was before.
Every solar eclipse occurs at a New Moon, but an eclipsed New Moon carries far greater weight than an ordinary monthly beginning, because it can launch a chapter that continues unfolding over the following six months and changes your understanding of where your life is capable of going.
This eclipse speaks your language because Leo is a fellow fire sign, while the ninth house naturally reflects many Sagittarius themes, including freedom, growth, learning, meaning, exploration, and the refusal to accept that your present circumstances represent the entire available world.
You may begin planning or taking an important journey, apply for a course, receive news involving education, publish or teach something, handle a legal or immigration matter, or form a connection with another country or culture.
A belief you have carried for years may also change, particularly if new information makes the old explanation too narrow to continue holding.
You enjoy growth in theory, but even Sagittarius can become attached to a familiar version of the future, especially after investing substantial time, money, or emotional energy into one particular direction.
The eclipse may show you that expansion does not always mean continuing farther along the same road, because sometimes it means admitting that you have learned everything the current road can teach you.
An opportunity could arrive quickly, although you may not have every detail at first, which means your enthusiasm needs to work alongside practical judgment rather than replacing it.
You do not need to reject something exciting merely because the complete map is unavailable, but you should still check the destination, price, deadline, and small section of the agreement that somebody has described as “just standard.”
Why the New Moon Total Solar Eclipse Matters for Sagittarius
The ninth house concerns the beliefs that organise your life, including what you think is possible, what you believe success should look like, and which truths you have accepted from family, culture, education, religion, or past experience.
