Leo Weekly Horoscope August 3–9, 2026
Leo, I was watching somebody try on sunglasses the other day, and after rejecting at least ten perfectly respectable pairs because one made their eyebrows look strange, another felt “too serious” and a third apparently made them look like somebody who owned a yacht but could not be trusted with it, they finally put on the first pair again and said, “Actually, these are exactly right,” which is such a wonderfully human reminder that sometimes we have to wander through every possible version of ourselves before recognising the one that felt right from the beginning. That idea fits your astrology unusually well this week because August 3–9 places an enormous amount of attention directly on you, your identity, your confidence, the way you communicate, the people surrounding your future, the beliefs guiding your choices and the relationships capable of supporting the person you are becoming, while Mercury finally completes its retrograde aftermath and enters Leo on August 9, only three days before a total solar eclipse and New Moon arrives in your own sign.
This is not a quiet week in an ordinary Leo year, and this is certainly not an ordinary Leo year.
The Sun is moving through Leo, Jupiter is moving through Leo and by the end of the week Mercury enters Leo as well, which means your first house of identity, appearance, confidence, physical presence, personal direction and new beginnings is becoming increasingly crowded with planetary activity just as eclipse season moves directly toward your sign. Jupiter entered Leo earlier this summer and will remain here for an extended cycle, giving you one of the most significant opportunities for personal expansion you have experienced in approximately twelve years, while the Sun’s annual journey through Leo has already returned your focus to yourself after months in which other people’s needs, responsibilities and complicated circumstances may have occupied more mental space than you realised.
There is something extremely important about Jupiter moving through your sign because Jupiter does not merely bring opportunities; it enlarges your relationship with possibility itself, and for Leo that can mean rediscovering parts of your personality that became quieter while you were busy being responsible, practical or endlessly available to everybody else. You may want to travel, create something, change your appearance, start a business, begin a new project, become more visible, move in a different direction professionally or simply make choices that feel far more personally authentic than the compromises you have been making, and while not every impulse requires immediate action, the overall message is difficult to miss because your life is becoming too small for a version of you that has already outgrown it.
